パブ・ロックの重鎮＆偏屈変人のミッキー・ジャップのソロセカンドアルバム。ゴドレイ＆クレームがプロデュースのほか演奏・バック・コーラスも担当。二人のアルバム「フリーズ・フレイム」と同じくリミッターをかけた多重録音でレコーディングされた。このためかなりゴドレイ＆クレーム色の濃いアルバムとなっている。ロキシー・ミュージックのアンディ・マッケイがゲスト参加している。
ミッキー・ジャップは60年代から音楽活動を開始、"オリオールズ""レジェンド"のふたつのバンドで活躍するもヒットは生まれず、一旦は音楽活動から退く。その後同郷のドクター・フィールグッドの後押しで音楽シーンに復活、ニック・ロウとゲイリー・ブルッカーのプロデュースによるソロ・デビューアルバム「ジャッパニーズ」を1978年にリリースした。
"Switchboard Susan"はニック・ロウが「レイバー・オブ・ラスト」(1979)でカバーしているが、これは「ジャッパニーズ」セッション時にロックパイルが演奏したが不採用になったバック・トラックらしい。
