フィル・マンザネラ率いる801のライヴ盤。1977年11月2日、マンチェスター･ユニヴァーシティーで行われたライヴ音源を収録。当時の新作アルバム「リッスン・ナウ」の楽曲が中心となっている。ラスト３曲にゴドレイ＆クレームが登場、パーカッションとヴォーカルで参加している。
2008年に再発された際4曲が加えられ"The Complete 801 Live at Manchester University"と改題されている。日本ではこの2008年版からのリリースとなった。邦題は「801 ライヴ・アット・マンチェスター」。
